June is gone. I think that all these scientists that are studying earth should find out if our planet is turning faster. The days seem shorter, and the months go past like the wind. It is July already!!!!! The 4th today and soon the 31st.

Well, in June we were able to re-publish Genesis and Exodus. Actually we just finished Exodus and they are boxed ready to go to the village. The church was dedicated in June and so we had a great time celebrating.

A new couple has come to Manaus and they are getting started in Brazil. They have 4 children and another on the way. I have been helping them get settled in and sort of set up. They are a great couple and need your prayers as they are just starting. They need to get the language and then they will be set. So remember the new arrivals. Pray for The Miller family.

I did have a bout of malaria which was not a fun deal this time. I felt every year of my age and I am not a spring chicken. I am better now and actually started to do some walking in the mornings.

We have a lady with her child here in Manaus whose child has a cleft palate. He is such a cute little boy. She has been here for some time waiting. Pray that she will not get discouraged with the health system. She has other children that need attention too and being away so long is bothering her. He just had the lip repaired and next year will have the inside taken care of.

I have been having trouble getting a return appointment for the lady with cataracts as well. They keep sending me somewhere else just to make the appointment. It seems a never-ending process. I will ask a friend to help us get the appointments. It is who you know sometimes to get things done. All her exams have to be done over for the second eye which will take some time. Hopefully we can get that done soon. We are hoping to have a school here in Manaus during the low water season. Cathie’s computer is old and she will soon have to get another one. I think mine will last for a bit longer. Generally all is well but busy.
